Registration Open for NAPT Special Needs Endorsement Workshops

The National Association for Pupil Transportation will offer additional training opportunities at the STN EXPO this summer in Reno that goes towards the organization's new Special Needs Endorsement certification.

Separate registration is now open for an introductory course on special needs transportation and a seminar on student behavior management, both of which are scheduled for Saturday morning, July 24, prior to the start of the STN EXPO pre-conference track. NAPT is also offering endorsement credit for attendees who complete the eight-hour Child Passenger Safety Restraint Systems on School Buses pre-conference workshop. Additionally, a special course will be offered to registrants that takes place on the STN EXPO Trade Show floor.

The workshops are in addition to regularly scheduled STN EXPO workshops, which will be announced soon.

NAPT members are eligible for a special price of $99 when signing up to take the four-hour "Special Needs Transportation" or "Managing Special Needs Student Behaviors: Transportation Challenges" courses that are scheduled from 8 a.m. until noon on July 24. The Transportation Trade Show Report SNT #104 on July 27. These seminars cost $225 for non-NAPT members.

The cost for the Child Passenger Safety Restraint Systems on School Buses course that also fulfills NHTSA Child Passenger Technician certification is $99 for all registrants, regardless if they seek credit for the NAPT Special Needs Endorsement.
