Education School Bus Driver is Driver of Yr.

NEW YORK — Vicky Jarvis, a school bus driver with Educational Bus Transportation, has received the “Driver of the Year” award from the Nassau Chapter of the New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT).  The announcement was made by NYAPT Nassau Chapter President Keyana Wright.

‘School Bus Driver’ Inadequately Describes Duties

A new white paper published by the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services (NASDPTS) concludes that the term “school bus driver” is insufficient in describing the profession and host of skills necessary for the job, as well as the vetting required of applicants.
