BorgWarner Turbo and Emissions Systems Updates Turbocharger Troubleshooting Guide
Asheville, N.C. (June 4, 2008) BorgWarner Turbo and Emissions Systems has updated their Turbocharger Troubleshooting Matrix for turbo diesel engines. This useful tool displays problem descriptions and the possible causes when turbo failure symptoms occur and now displays a simple graphic showing where to look if you think a turbo is damaged. Because a defective turbocharger is often times the consequence of some other primary engine defect, the problem cannot be cured by simply replacing the turbocharger alone. The Turbocharger Troubleshooting Matrix can help identify the root cause of the problem, allowing the proper repairs to be made and the vehicle returned to service quickly. The matrix can be downloaded at http://www.turbodriven.com/en/service/default.aspx for distribution to all fleet and maintenance personnel responsible for maximizing uptime and reducing repair costs of diesel powered vehicles. |
