He is a board certified behavior analyst, a certified speaker, trainer, a coach with the John Maxwell Team, and a cancer survivor. He is an educational consultant and was recently promoted to assistant director of autism and student independence for the Auburn School District #408 in Washington state. Patrick has committed his work to “lighting it up” for all those who support special needs learners through a hybrid of instruction and inspiration. His engagin resources and strategies have helped make the complex simple, equipping teachers, administrators, therapists, paraeducators, and school bus drivers alike. Consistenly rated by conference attendees as a top inspirational speaker, Patrick is well-known across the student transportation industry for his humor, passion and expertise.

Dr. Sáenz’ message will compel you to engage your calling with passion, with purpose, and with vision. Now, as a licensed psychologist and theologian, Dr. Sáenz conducts workshops across the country in the areas of stress management, self-care and the dynamics of effective relationship and team-building.  Dr. Sáenz earned his Ph.D. in school psychology from Texas A&M University with clinical training at Harvard Medical School. He completed his post doctorate in clinical psychology from the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He also earned a doctorate of ministry in pastoral counseling from the Graduate Theological Foundation, with residency at Christ Church College of Oxford University. Dr. Sáenz is the author of the best-selling book, “The Power of a Teacher” and recently released “The EQ Intervention.” His education blog has been featured on the front page of the Huffington Post. He currently serves as the clinical director of the Oakwood Collaborative, the counseling and assessment clinic he founded in 2003.

Dianna is a partner in the Dallas-Fort Worth offices of Thompson & Horton LLP. For over 20 years, she has successfully defended public school districts, charter schools and independent schools on a wide range of school law issues. She represents her clients in all aspects of litigation and counsels and advises them in formulating preventive strategies, drafting personnel and student policies and procedures, and training employees in all areas of school law. Dianna has represented school districts in over 40 special education due process hearings and over 100 nonrenewal and termination hearings under Chapter 21 of the Texas Education Code. In addition, Dianna has had great success litigating cases in state and federal court, including the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, regarding claims brought under federal and state law related to special education and employment matters. Dianna has been repeatedly recognized as a Texas Rising Star in the area of School Law. She presented on IEP documentation and communication in a digital world during the 2019 is an LRP National Institute.
