Amerisearch Background Alliance Expands Services with Pre-Employment Screening Program

ASHTABULA, Ohio — Today, Amerisearch Background Alliance announced that their clients now have access to view commercial drivers’ safety records directly from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP). PSP provides employers with a driver’s FMCSA safety information during the hiring process.

“Amerisearch Background Alliance is committed to offering the best DOT employment options. Adding PSP to our full suite of services assures employers that they are hiring the best and most safety conscience candidates,” said Michael K Brown, Amerisearch Background Alliance VP Compliance.

“I believe this is information every Safety Director desperately wants. Participation in PSP leads to safer, more reliable transportations services.”

“Recently, FMCSA released results of a study which shows PSP usage improves fleet operations. The agency analyzed carriers who use PSP. These companies realized, on average, an 8% decrease in their crashes and a 17% decline in their driver out-of-service rate. A PSP report offers a driver’s five-year crash history and three-year inspection history and is available for $15.00 per search.
