Apollo Video Technology Launches iPhone® App for Transit Managers and First Responders

RoadRunner™ Mobile iPhone App provides instant access to live video feeds

WOODINVILLE, Wash. – Apollo Video Technology announces the release of the RoadRunner™ Mobile App for the iPhone® and iPod Touch®. The iPhone app allows transit officials to view live video feeds from buses, trains, police cars and transit facilities instantly through Wi-Fi or Cellular.

“The RoadRunner Mobile Application is the first iPhone app aimed specifically at transit officials and first responders,” said Rodell Notbohm, general manager of Apollo Video Technology. “RoadRunner Mobile allows

transit managers and first responders to quickly view live video feeds of any transit vehicle within their network and respond immediately.”

RoadRunner Mobile will also provide maintenance personnel with much needed access to live video feeds of cameras on mass transit, school buses or police vehicles. Live video feeds will enable maintenance personnel to quickly re-adjust camera angles and ensure that all cameras are recording properly.

RoadRunner Mobile features include:

  • Live, remote viewing provides live data for emergency and incident
  • response.
  • Maintenance personnel can easily ensure camera views are adjusted properly.
  • Password protection for secure, restricted access
  • View any camera on networked RoadRunner DVRs
  • “Favorites” list provides instant access to frequently viewed systems
  • Supports connections using DVRNS (DVR Name Service) when available
  • Auto-rotating screen
  • RoadRunner Mobile provides remote live video access to any networked RoadRunner™ DVR.

Compatible with any TCP/IP based network, RoadRunner Mobile can be used over Wi-Fi or cellular networks.
