Blue Bird Announces Vision Cockpit Redesign

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – The newly redesigned Blue Bird Vision® cockpit was unveiled at the recent NAPT Trade Show in Louisville, Kentucky, November 3-4. Trade show participants were able to view the new ergonomic and functional positioning of switches, as well as notice the additional room in the driver’s area. Key redesigned features include new ergonomic placement of switches and controls angled toward the driver, easily readable instrument panel, easily accessible dual wiper motors, higher capacity defroster system, new foot-applied parking brake (with hydraulic brakes), redesigned electrical panel, and the ever-popular optional cup holder.

“In redesigning the Vision, we focused on feedback from drivers, service technicians, transportation directors and the expertise of our Dealer Network to tool a cockpit that was not only ergonomically functional, but comfortable. The new elements are designed to be easily serviceable to assist with completing routine checks and maintenance with ease. The Vision cockpit redesign is another element of Blue Bird’s initiative for continual product development,” states Roger Howsmon, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, Sales.

The new cockpit went into production on November 2, and can be seen in buses currently rolling off the production line. For more information, contact your local Authorized Blue Bird Dealer or visit, www.bluebird. com.
