Dimmendaal Named First Female President of the National School Transportation Association

BALTIMORE, Md.–The National School Transportation Association (NSTA) elected Ms. Magda Dimmendaal as President of NSTA on the afternoon of July 20 during the association’s Annual Meeting and Convention in Baltimore, Maryland. Ms. Dimmendaal, of Dousman Transport in Dousman, Wisconsin, will be the first-ever woman to lead the National School Transportation Association in its over 40 year history.

“Magda Dimmendaal has a long history of providing leadership and service to the communities and organizations that she is part of,” says Rochelle Bast, Vice-President of Operations at Riteway Bus Service, “She brings that solid ‘Service Above Self’ foundation to her new leadership role as President of NSTA. “

With over 37 years of experience in the student transportation industry, Ms. Dimmendaal has served in almost every role. From bus driver, to manager, to her current position as CEO of Dousman Transport, she has shown initiative, poise, and dedication to keeping children safe as they travel to and from school. Bought by Ms. Dimmendaal in 1988, her company currently transports 10,000 students over 7,400 miles each school day.

Ms. Dimmendaal is also a member of the local Rotary Club and served as President of the Wisconsin School Bus Association.
