Education Logistics (EDULOG) to Provide Internet-Based Pupil Transportation System to British Columbia School District

MISSOULA, Mont. – Education Logistics, Inc. (EDULOG) announced today that it has contracted with the Kootenay Lake School District No. 8 (KLSD8) for the purchase of EDULOG’s internet-based bus routing and scheduling system, part of EDULOG’s suite of transportation management solutions for the K-12 school market. The agreement includes software licenses, related professional services, maintenance, and support. KLSD8 has invested in EDULOG’s ePTSTM (electronic Pupil Transportation System) system.

KLSD8 is located in the southern interior of British Columbia, Canada, covers approximately 15,000 square kilometers and includes the communities of: Yahk, Kitchener, Wynndel, Canyon, Erickson, Boswell, Crawford Bay, Kootenay Bay, Riondel, and Creston on the east side of Kootenay Lake; and Kaslo, Meadow Creek, Johnson’s Landing, Argenta, Ainsworth, Slocan, Winlaw, South Slocan, Crescent Valley, Slocan Park, Taghum, Blewett, Ymir, Balfour, Harrop, Procter, Salmo, and Nelson (City of Nelson and Discover Nelson) on the west side of Kootenay Lake. KLSD8 hired a consultant to research the available options for obtaining a pupil transportation management system and determined that EDULOG would best meet the District’s needs.

“EDULOG offered a unique solution that included software as well as initial and ongoing consulting services. The ability of EDULOG to perform a lot of the ongoing work that the District would otherwise be responsible for was appealing,” stated Larry Brown, Director of Operations for KLSD8.

“We hired a consultant to objectively research the options and are satisfied that EDULOG will best meet the needs of the District,” added Brown.

“The number of EDULOG ePTS customers continues to rapidly expand and we’re happy to add School District No. 8 to the growing list of school districts in British Columbia that EDULOG has had the opportunity to partner with. ePTS was designed specifically with the needs of smaller school districts in mind and persists as a unique solution in the industry today that leverages the power of EDULOG’s routing software with included ongoing consulting services,” said Mike Darling, president of EDULOG.

EDULOG’s ePTS software is widely regarded as the most intuitive and easy-to-use management tool in the industry. With over 150 employees, EDULOG represents the largest pool of industry experience and resources available to directly assist school districts with successfully implementing their routing system. EDULOG’s ongoing ASP services place an increased responsibility on the company, rather than the school district, to perform the various tasks required to maintain any brand of routing software. Clients are assigned a EDULOG Site Manager who personally assists the district by performing the necessary implementation work, facilitates various ongoing work throughout each year for the district, and ensures the school district is able to receive the full value available from automated routing and scheduling.
