ANCHORAGE, AK. — Alaska State School Bus Inspectors Danny Allen and Garry Wolske presented Forsythe Transportation with certificates for Best Maintained Large and Medium Sized School Bus Fleets at an Alaska Association of School Business Officials (ALASBO) reception Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009.
“Forsythe Transportation has definitely raised the level of school buses maintenance in the State,” said Allen. “Their performance has prompted better school bus maintenance throughout Alaska.”
Wolske added, “We are very happy to see this consistently high level of maintenance among the school buses Forsythe operates.”
The Statewide school bus awards were given for the Fall 2009 inspection. By law, all school buses in Alaska must undergo rigid maintenance inspections twice a year. Forsythe Transportation operates school buses for the Anchorage School District and has won all four best-maintained large fleet certificates awarded since the company began its operations in Alaska. This is the second time Forsythe has won the award for medium-sized school bus fleets.
“We are once again very proud and excited that our employees continue to make our maintenance program the best in the State,” said owners Bill Forsythe and Mark Foster. “Safety is our very highest concern. And excellent maintenance helps provide the safest buses. We look forward to expanding our Alaska school bus business and will bring the same high standards to each and every new contract we win,” they added.
