Feb. 2, 2010, Coquitlam, B.C. — Mobile surveillance manufacturer Seon Design Inc. has received a notice to proceed from Montgomery Area Transit Systems (M.A.T.S.). Seon will outfit the company’s paratransit and fixed route fleet with a total of 45 systems to help promote a safe environment for both passengers and employees.
Montgomery Area Transit utilized a Seon demo unit on one of its buses for a full year before choosing Seon as the company’s mobile surveillance system provider.

Montgomery Area Transit provides fixed route and paratransit service within city limits of Montgomery, Alabama. Thirty-four buses serve sixteen fixed routes. The fixed route system averages 4500 trips daily, over approximately 4000 daily route miles. The company’s paratransit service provides 140 daily trips and totals approximately 43,000 annual trips with a fleet of 11 vehicles.
