OPW Fuel Management Systems Schedules FREE Onsite Training Seminar

HODGKINS, Ill. – OPW Fuel Management Systems, part of OPW Fueling Components, has scheduled a FREE onsite product-training seminar for July 17-19 at its headquarters facility in the Chicago, IL, area, located at 6900 Santa Fe Drive, Hodgkins, IL 60525, phone (708) 485-4200.

The seminar is designed to help ensure that service personnel are more effective through hands-on training with the FSC3000™ Fuel Site Controller products, along with providing an overview on Networks. The seminar will begin at 8:30 a.m. CDT and continue until 5 p.m. on each day. Seminar applications must be received two weeks in advance of the seminar. All lodging and transportation are the responsibility of the attendee.

During the seminar, instructors will demonstrate system start-ups and general operation of the FSC3000™ Fuel Site Controller. Attendees are asked to bring a laptop computer and voltage meter to the seminar. This is a required course to certify or re-certify for fuel-control product testing. OPW Fuel Management Systems will award certificates of achievement on systems that are covered during the seminar. In order to receive certification, attendees must pass a mandatory test on each system. Note: As of Jan. 1, 2013, you MUST possess a valid certification in order to receive tech support assistance.

OPW-FMS has also scheduled a second onsite for July, this one to be held from July 31-Aug. 2 in Dallas, TX, at the Holiday Inn Express-Stemmons Freeway (1-35), 2287 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75220, phone (214) 350-4011. This seminar, which will run from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on all days, has a cost of $495 per attendee. Again, seminar applications must be received two weeks in advance of the seminar, and all lodging and transportation are the responsibility of the attendee.

Virtual Training Seminar Set

OPW Fuel Management Systems has also posted the date and time for its next virtual product-training seminar for qualified distributors and technicians:

• July 13, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. CDT, will focus on the AFC Fleet Fuel Control System. The AFC is a turnkey fuel-control system for small to mid-size fleets that is easy to use and setup. With the AFC, fleet managers will no longer have to wonder when vehicle maintenance is due, where the fuel is going or how to keep track of fleet vehicles.

All registrants must have high-speed Internet access and an active individual email address. Registrants must also download and read the appropriate training guides prior to the seminar.

OPW Fuel Management Systems will award certificates of achievement on systems that are covered during the seminar. In order to receive certification, attendees must pass a mandatory written test on each system. Technicians are required to re-certify every three years and the re-certifying cost is $75 for each test. However, if the technician attends an onsite or Webex seminar, the cost of the test will be waived.

There is a $100 charge for attending a Webex training course and payment must be received at least one week prior to the seminar date(s). A valid Visa, MasterCard or P.O. from the sponsoring distributor and sponsorship by an authorized OPW Fuel Management Systems distributor are required to participate in these Webex courses. Seminar fees are non-refundable once the registration has been sent. If OPW cancels the seminar, a refund will be sent to the technician or it can be used for a future Webex seminar.
