Thomas Built Buses Adds Manager of Powertrain and Technology Sales

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Thomas Built Buses, the leading manufacturer of school buses, has hired Kim Alston as the new manager of powertrain and technology sales, effective September 18, 2017.

kim alston tbbIn her new role, Alston will work closely with dealers and customers to determine the best powertrain offerings for fleets including but not limited to Cummins and Detroit engines, Allison transmissions, and innovations and safety features within Thomas Built’s BusWise Technologies suite.

“Kim’s role in this new position will further enhance our strength of offerings. Thomas Built Buses offers a variety of powertrain options. Kim will help dealers and customers pinpoint the key features of different engines, transmissions and BusWise innovations and determine the best fit for each specific fleet,” said Ken Hedgecock, vice president of sales, marketing and service for Thomas Built Buses. “Kim’s passion for excellence, honesty, discipline and customer focus will be a tremendous assets to our network.”

Alston has been with Thomas Built Buses for more than 13 years. Most recently, she served as supply chain manager. Alston has a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from North Carolina State University.
