“He brings an enormous amount of discipline, energy, expertise and financial systems management to STI,” Gallagher added.

Kominsky is experienced in mergers and acquisitions, coming to STI from BMO Capital Markets in Chicago, where he was the director of industrials investment banking and the sector head for transportation and logistics for specialty vehicles.

Previously, he served at BMO as both vice president of industrials investment banking and the company’s mergers and acquisitions.

At STI, Kominsky’s knowledge of corporate banking, capital markets and strategic planning will play a “key” role on the company’s senior management team, said Gallagher. He added that Kominsky’s first order of business will be to develop the teams and market strategies to sign up school district and other contractor customers for the company’s SafeStop app and the TSD Partners Program.

“There are huge opportunities in both the core contracted business as well as these new businesses to leverage relationships we have developed over the years,” he explained. “We welcome Tom to the STI Family and are excited to have him on board to help foster new business growth within the company.”

Kominsky holds an MBA in finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and undergraduate degree in economics from Depauw University.
