Kansas Announces Winners of School Bus Safety Poster Contest

The Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) recently announced the state winners of the 2014 School Bus Safety Poster Contest at their summer symposium held jointly with the Kansas State Pupil Transportation Association.

poster2betaThe winners of the 2014 Kansas state poster contest are Prisma Hernandez of the K-2 division, Sydney Frankenbery of the 3-5 division and Shelby Fuqua of the 6-8 division.

In October, they will attend the Kansas State Pupil Transportation Association (KSPTA) Supervisors’ Conference and receive a plaque, according to Wilma Crabtree of KSDE.

The national theme for the contest was “Be smart, be seen. I wait in a safe place.”
