Micro Bird G5 Recalled Over Electrical

Certain models of year 2006-2010 Girardin G5 and 2009 to 2011 Micro Bird G5 non-school buses for an issue with a wiring harness.

According to the NHTSA recall, the OEM cutaway wiring harness that passes just rearward of the driver seat between the B pillar and the raised floor is “trapping the wire harness causing the wires to rub against the metal floor molding, damaging the wire insulation.” The damaged wire could lead to a short and, possibly, a fire.

Micro Bird said it will soon notify owners that authorized dealers will repair the buses free of charge. Owners can contact Micro Bird at 819/477-2012.
