New PERC Website Designed to Be ‘One-Stop Shop’

The Propane Education and Research Council (PERC) recently launched propane.com, a new, consolidated website with information about propane safety and news on propane-powered technologies.

Managed by PERC, the websitegathers and consolidates information from its other sites, including autogasusa.org, agpropane.com, poweredbypropane.com, and usepropane.com, which all redirect to propane.com. Users can also use the “Find a Propane Retailer” application on the site to locate their nearest retailer by services provided and zip code.

Student transportation professionals can access the On Road Fleet Directory for information on: Propane ConversionsPrograms and IncentivesRefuelingSafety and Training, Case Studies and Fact Sheetsand more. They can also view recent webinars such as “Roush CleanTech Liquid Propane Autogas” and “CleanFuel USA eConnect.”

Propane autogas has been gaining ground in the school bus market, with many districts adopting the Blue Bird Propane Vision, and the new Thomas propane-autogas Saf-T-Liner C2 currently in productionCollins Bus Corporation was the first Type A school bus manufacturer to introduce propane models.

“Propane.com gives our industry a chance to showcase the versatility of propane, and the economic and environmental benefits of using this American-made fuel across top-performing markets,” said Roy Willis, president and CEO of PERC. “The consolidation also gives propane customers the opportunity to realize all the technologies available for their home, fleet, or business.”

PERC hopes the new site will promote a “one-fuel solution” that will encourage existing propane users, as well as those considering adopting it, to research new fuel-efficient equipment.
