New Tyler Technologies Solution Targets Student Discipline Tracking, Reporting for Student Transporters

Tyler Technologies officially launched the general availability of its Incident Management solution to help student transporters record and track school bus events.

“Tyler Incident Management is the first solution attached to transportation software that addresses schools’ need to track and manage information about serious incidents such as bullying,” said James Guzewich, president of Tyler’s Versatrans School Solution, in a statement. “We developed the Tyler Incident Management solution to give schools a highly flexible and functional incident tracking tool both for school buses and facilities; this solution is another example of our commitment to schools, and it’s why our clients have relied on Tyler’s industry leadership for almost 30 years.”

The company is hosting two webinars free of charge on Oct. 4 and Oct. 9 to further illustrate how school districts can utilize the solution to comply with state or local anti-bullying laws or guidelines. In a release, Tyler said Incident Managment is also flexible enough to accommodate future legislation.

Incident Management also manages disciplinary action for both students and employees, ensures districts follow protocol after bus crashes as well as manages a contact database that dispatchers can access in an emergency. The software also alerts technicians and other staff of bus and building vandalism

The company said Incident Management can be purchased as a stand-alone solution or in conjunction with Tyler’s Munis enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution and Versatrans student transportation solution. Find out more by visiting.
