Ontario School Bus Association Past-President Taylor to Resign from Board of Directors

Gord Taylor, the immediate past-president of the Ontario School Bus Association and district seven representative, announced he is resigning from the board of directors as well as from his day job at Stock Transportation effective Sept. 24.

Taylor is the director of business development at Stock, the Canadian subsidiary of National Express Corporation, which also operates Durham School Services in the United States. OSBA said Taylor has accepted the position of chief executive officer of the Tri-Board Student Transportation Services, which provides school bus service for 32,500 students on 630 bus routes to 160 local Ontario schools. Taylor begins his new job on Nov. 1.

Taylor served as OSBA president from June 2010 through June of this year. He started with Stock Transportation in 1994.

OSBA also announced that board member Doug Herd resigned on Aug. 15. Herd had chaired OSBA’s Communications and Outreach Committee for hte past two years and led the association’s strategic plan as well as re-branding efforts, which OSBA added were supported by Taylor.
