Starcraft Bus Recalling Six School Bus Models to Fix Wheelchair Lift Defect

Starcraft Bus, a division of Forest River, announced a NHTSA recall campaign that targets 2,200 school buses equipped with Braun wheelchair lifts that have been the subject of wider recalls this year.

The Braun Century-2 and Vista-2 wheelchair lifts include roll stop latches on the outer barrier that may become bent or misaligned over time and frequent use. This could allow the wheelchair occupant to override the insufficiently latched roll stop and fall if the lift is in the elevated position.

Starcraft said it is notifying owners that Braun’s authorized dealers will perform the fixes free of charge.
