Startrans MFSABs Latest to Recall Braun Wheelchair Lifts

Startrans issued a NHTSA recall of four 2009 and 2010 model-year Multifunction School Activity Buses as part of a larger Braun recall to fix wheelchair lifts with defective roll stop latches.

Startrans said wheelchair occupants may fall from the lift and become injured if the roll stop latch on the outer barrier for the lift becomes bent or misaligned after frequent use. In those cases, the wheelchair may override the roll stop latch.

Startrans is notifying owners of the recall. Authorized Braun dealers will make repairs free of charge.
