Thomas Built Buses Names Edgerly New VP of Operations

Thomas Built Buses recently named Caley Edgerly vice president of operations.

Edgerly’s new position went into effect March 1. He now oversees two busy body plants, a chassis plant, a component fabrication plant and related logistics operations, including more than 1 million square feet of facilities and more than 1,000 employees.

Edgerly previously served as director of product development and growth for Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing and as general manager of Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing East. He succeeds Jeff Allen, who now serves as vice president of operations for Redford Truck Powertrain for Detroit Diesel Corporation.

“Thomas Built is a national leader in the school bus industry, with a portfolio of innovative products that include new, environmentally friendly technologies,” said Edgerly. “These are exciting and challenging times in the school bus industry, and I am pleased to be here as part of the Thomas Built team.”

Edgerly received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University.
