Virginia Student Transporter Receives NAPT Special Needs Endorsement

The National Association for Pupil Transportation Announced that Renee DeVall of Albemarle County Public Schools in Charlottesville, Va., recently completed the Special Needs Transportation (SNT) Training program.

DeVall, a transportation analyst, is the 31st student transporter in the U.S. and Canada to complete the endorsement through NAPT that recognizes individuals for continuing education specific to transporting students with special needs.

Recipients must complete six NAPT Professional Development Courses and two electives to complete the SNT program. Devall completed her courses during the 2012 Transporting Students with Special Needs & Preschoolers National Conference held in Orlando, Fla.

More information on the NAPT SNT program is available online.

Next year’s TSD Conference is scheduled for March 8-13 in Frisco, Texas, near Dallas. STN Media Group, the parent company of School Transportation News, acquired the conference this past March from Edupro Group.
