A Ride With A Kentucky School Bus Driver

NPR reported on Gilbert “Sarge” Sargent, who drives school bus No. 7 in the small suburb of Versailles, Kentucky.

For 25 years, the 74-year-old Sarge has worked on and off as a school bus driver. Currently, he drives for Woodford County Public Schools, a district just outside Lexington.

Sarge was meant to drive a school bus, he said, because of his love for children.
