Ind. Board Nixes Driver Signing Bonus

The shortage of school bus drivers is an issue many school districts across the country are facing. To encourage applicants, many are offering a signing bonus. The Carmel Clay School Board in Carmel, Indiana, however, decided to hold off on offering a planned $2,500 signing bonus drivers would received after three months on the job. The school board expressed concerns that the payout was too high and that three months was too soon, among others.
