Police Investigate Florida School Buses Blocking Traffic

Action News Jax has reported that for the second day in a row, a Florida school bus has blocked traffic with students onboard, area police calling these actions illegal and dangerous.

Jacksonville law enforcement claimed they are taking steps to keep school bus drivers from risking the safety of students.

A traffic supervisor has told school and bus officials to stop blocking traffic.

“You are putting yourself and other road users in danger by doing this,” said Jimmy Jones, who has more than 15 years’ experience of professional driving and instruction.

Jones added that buses can be in a rush to get children home, but that’s no excuse for dangerous behavior.

The bus companies say they’re looking into these dangerous situations.
