Delaware Teenage Boy Shot & Wounded, Helped by School Bus

6 ABC Action News reported that police are investigating a shooting in Wilmington, Delaware, that left a teenage boy hospitalized. The shots rang out in the morning.

Police said a 15-year-old boy was hit. The victim flagged down a passing school bus for help. Neighbors saw the ensuing chaos.

“When we looked out the window we saw kids running this way, kids running across,” said resident Ira Findley. “Some of the bus drivers were telling kids to get on the bus for their protection.”

“There were about 5-6 shots,” said another resident. “I came out to make sure my son was okay…. He was okay.”

The teen was hit in the arm and torso.
