Yonkers-Based Bus Company Files Bankruptcy

Yonkers-based Allways East Transportation Inc. has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, reported lohud. The company serves the Yonkers Public Schools.

The company reportedly owes a total of $3.7 million to its 20 largest creditors. The largest known debt amount is $823,670.21 to the State Department of Taxation and Finance. Other debts include unpaid tolls and violations totaling $390,662 owed to the New York State Thruway Authority $353,333 owed to the Triboro Bridge and Tunnel Authority.
