A Look Inside Thomas Built Buses

A North Carolina TV news station recently took a tour of the Thomas Built Buses plant in High Point, N.C.

Scott Mason of WRAL was on location and recited the company’s history, starting as a manufacturer of streetcars in the early 1900s. With the help of Thomas’ Ken Hedgecock, Mason shares the nugget that one of these original Perley A. Thomas streetcars was featured in the classic movie “A Streetcar Named Desire.”

Since, the company has become one of the nation’s largest school bus manufacturers.
