Ballad of a ‘Golden Haired’ Teenage Queen

One of Johnny Cash’s greatest hits is the driving beat behind a collage of school bus photos posted on YouTube.

I found the collage, posted last April, while perusing my daily list of articles, blogs and listservs. The YouTube clip shows various Blue Bird and IC Bus models as Cash sings “The Ballad of a Teenage Queen,” an apropos selection for the daily story of a yellow bus, if you’re so inclined. The video then segues to “Oh, Lonesome Me.” Hopefully the latter is not a reference to a child left alone on the school bus.

The video was posted by user “Jarrett798,” who has a pretty impressive page chock full of school bus clips. Perhaps he’s destined for a career in school transportation?
