Is GM Headed Back to the Medium-Duty Business?

That’s the question Type A conversion and cut-way bus customer can ask after a report last week indicated that GM’s light-duty sales are taking a hit ever since the company left the medium-duty market last year.

Automotive News reported last week that, as GM is investigating ways to get back their market share and improve the company’s overall outlook, it could be courting Freightliner or Navistar’s International Truck division. Either move could prove interesting to the Type A school bus market.

What also could turn some heads are ruminations that GM could be interested in a outright acquisition of a competitor.
