AngelTrax Unveils Affordable Wireless-ready Mobile DVR

NEWTON, Ala. – Today, AngelTrax announced the HDX™, its latest mobile DVR with built-in wireless capabilities that leverages a 500MHz LAN card and enables clients to receive system health notifications via text message or email – all at a lower price point. This compact, but powerful mobile surveillance device features four audio/video channels, a 250GB SATA hard drive and H.264 video compression.

“We’ve paired our reliable audio/video technology with a more economical built-in LAN card,” said Richie Howard, AngelTrax’s President. “Our customers can still benefit from wireless notification features without busting their budget.”

The HDX™ assists fleet directors with incident management through the hands-free wireless transfer of event notifications. Users may setup GSRP wireless notification for DVR events such as: video status, overspeed, camera loss, over G-Force, panic events and many more. The panic event feature notifies fleet directors of operator induced panic events via text message or email, and includes an MJPEG snapshot from one of the onboard cameras. The HDX can also be fully-integrated with MOTOTrax™ — AngelTrax’s online surveillance management solution.

Designed with AngelTrax’s proven video surveillance technology only in a smaller package, the HDX™ is one of the most efficient mobile surveillance solutions available. At just over two pounds, this compact but rugged DVR features a vandal-proof, shock resistant enclosure with a key-locking front door, ensuring the unit’s protection under the most extreme mobile conditions. A three year parts and labor warranty is also offered with the HDX™ unit.

HDX™ DVRs come standard with four channels of audio and video, which record and store the highest quality audio/video possible in the transportation industry, due to high frame rate video capture and user selectable MJPEG or H.264 compression. Recorded data is watermarked and encrypted to ensure video capture is authentic and court admissible.

The HDX™ attends to the safety of vehicle supervisors, drivers and passengers alike by offering a delay function built into its firmware, allowing for continued recording up to 999 minutes after the vehicle has been shut down. This ensures operator performance of appropriate post-trip tasks, and can be set on-site or remotely through the MOTOTrax™ interface. A driver-operated panic button is included and features three system check lights and a panic event push button, which enables operators to mark a panic event on the DVR and confirm the system is functioning properly.

Users can also customize the HDX™ to fit their specific needs. An optional VSM™ module featuring absolute GPS accuracy synchronized with recorded video footage can be added for maximum productivity. The available optional G-Sensor feature offers a three-axis inertia sensor that absorbs large shocks and marks audio/video data with an event. The G-Sensor marks impact not only front to back, but side to side and up and down.
