Bendix Named Diamond Supplier by Navistar

ELYRIA, Ohio — Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, LLC. has been named a Diamond Supplier by truck builder Navistar, which recently recognized its top-performing suppliers for helping the company improve customer uptime and exceeding the performance expectations for quality, delivery, technology, and cost. This year’s 33 Diamond Suppliers represent the top two percent of Navistar’s worldwide supply base. Navistar presented the Diamond Supplier award in a ceremony at Bendix headquarters today.

“Earning a spot on Navistar’s Diamond Supplier roster is a true honor for everyone here at Bendix. We are proud to share and support their drive for customer focus and increasing  uptime, fostering innovation, and delivering consistent high quality in their vehicles,” said Berend Bracht, president and CEO at Bendix. “As advances in technologies help create safer and more reliable trucks and buses, partnerships like the one we share with Navistar can go a long way toward raising standards across the industry and improving highway safety.”

Bendix, the North American leader in the development and manufacture of leading-edge active safety and braking system technologies for commercial vehicles, has a long relationship with Lisle, Illinois-based Navistar, and has provided a wide range of components and technologies for Navistar’s International trucks and IC Bus school and commercial buses.

In 2015, Navistar became the first North American truck manufacturer to offer the Bendix Wingman Fusion collision mitigation system. The company also added the Bendix ADB22X air disc brake as a data book option on its ProStar and DuraSta trucks.

“We strive to create products that have excellent quality and uptime,” said David McKean, vice president, Procurement, Navistar. “The suppliers receiving this award have proven to us that we can count on them to do the job, and do it well.”

Bendix’s complete lineup of air management, active safety, and wheel-end solutions delivers on performance, reliability, safety, and stopping power, plus other areas critical to fleets’ success. By improving vehicle performance and efficiency, and providing thorough post-sales support, Bendix helps the industry strengthen return on investment in technologies that make North American roads safer for everyone.
