Blue Bird SCR Technology Rolling Off the Line

FORT VALLEY, Ga. – It’s a standing ovation at Blue Bird. The 2010 Blue Bird demo buses are rolling off the line in Georgia, equipped with industry leading Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology.

Well over 100 demo units are currently headed to Authorized Dealers across North America for demonstration in their local market areas.

A spring and summer-long comprehensive North American Blue Bird SCR Demo Bus campaign kicked off in April. The school bus industry throughout North America will have numerous opportunities to experience and see first-hand the fuel-efficient and proven technology of the SCR system. These opportunities include Dealer Open Houses, Ride and Drive events and private bus viewings which are a valuable way to learn the fuel efficient and simplistic technology that makes the SCR system so popular.

“We are pleased to launch the Blue Bird Demo Bus Campaign which allows the school bus industry across North America an opportunity to ride and drive our 2010 EPA compliant buses equipped with SCR technology. The fuel efficiency, simplicity and clean emissions on these buses speak volumes,” states Bill Danner, vice president of sales for North America.
