Durham School Services Celebrates the American School Bus Council’s ‘Love the Bus’ Campaign

WARRENVILLE, Ill. – As a leader in student transportation, Durham School Services will celebrate the American School Bus Council’s “Love the Bus” campaign this Valentine’s Day, February 14, and recognize its employees for their continuing commitment to safely transporting students.

The “Love the Bus” campaign was designed by the American School Bus Council to honor the hundreds of thousands of school bus drivers who safely transport more than 26 million children to and from school each day. Each Durham School Services customer service center will receive a “Love the Bus” poster signed by the corporate office staff thanking employees for making safety their number one priority.

“Safely transporting children to school is a significant responsibility and it is important we recognize the commitment our drivers and support staff have made to do this each and every day,” said John Elliott, chief executive officer of Durham School Services. “We thank all our employees for their continued dedication to safety and the students they serve.”

The American School Bus Council is asking teachers, parents, students, and community members to share stories about their favorite bus drivers and make interactive Valentine’s cards for drivers through the Web site www.LoveTheBus.com. The website also offers a toolkit for educators, which offers best practices for communicating about pupil transportation.
