CINCINNATI — First Student, the trusted leader in student transportation, has named John Billigmeier as area general manager for its Wichita, Kan., Council Bluffs, Iowa and Kansas City, Mo. locations. Billigmeier will be responsible for the overall performance of the three locations including financial results, operational performance, safety, fleet and maintenance.
Billigmeier joined First Student in 2010 as senior location manager for its Wichita location. The company named him its Central Region Location Manager of the Year in 2012 and 2014.
“I am certain that John will continue to excel at First Student as he takes on this new challenge,” said Roger Moore, First Student Senior Vice President, Central Region. “He brings a high level of leadership, skill, hard work and high standards to his job every day.”
Billingmeier has more than two decades of experience in the transportation industry. Before joining First Student, he held management positions at UPS and DHL.
