First Student Provides Free Shuttle Service at Point Defiance Park in Washington State

CINCINNATI— Weekend visitors to Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, Wash., have a new way to get around the park this summer. First Student is providing complimentary shuttle service at eight locations inside the park.

The shuttle service is available on weekends through Labor Day and runs almost hourly from the Visitors Center from 10:10 a.m. until 4:10 p.m.

Shuttle stops include:

  • Visitors Center
  • Waterfront
  • Main Picnic Ground
  • Owen Beach
  • Gig Harbor View Point & Trailhead
  • Fort Nisqually Living History Museum
  • Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium
  • Native Garden

First Student drivers also serve as Park Ambassadors. They attended classes to learn the history of the park, and provide the information to visitors who take the shuttle.
