CINCINNATI— First Student, the nation’s leader in student transportation, has been awarded a contract to provide school transportation for Princeton City Schools in Cincinnati, Ohio for the 2014-2015 school year and beyond.
This marks the first time the district has partnered with a transportation provider for busing services.
“We are pleased Princeton City Schools has put its trust in us,” said Scott Turney, First Student Area General Manager. “We are committed to delivering safe and reliable service, allowing the district to lower costs while focusing solely on education rather than transportation.”
First Student will maintain and manage all of the district’s student transportation services during the five-year contract agreement. First Student will also install additional safety features to the districts’ school buses including the Child Check-Mate electronic reminder system designed to ensure no child is left unattended on a bus. Each bus will also be equipped with a GPS system allowing staff to pinpoint the exact location and speed of each bus.
First Student’s core values of safety and customer satisfaction are clearly demonstrated through regular investments in the fleet, implementation of new technologies, and enactment of stringent safety policies.
