IC Bus University Training Announced for March

The first session of IC Bus University will be held the week of March 14, 2011 in Tulsa, Okla.

Attendees will be provided up to 42 hours of instruction on bus maintenance, engines, bus electrical, Ricon Lifts, Braun lifts, Allison Transmissions, Specialty Manufacturing as well other areas of concern to today’s school bus technician.

John Thompson, Director of Training for IC Bus said: “We continue to have tremendous interest in IC Bus University. We believe that it is “Best in Class” training for the self-maintainer and we expect the March session to fill quickly. We really appreciate the interest in our training programs and based upon the feedback that we have received on previous sessions, we expect to continue to offer additional sessions through 2011 and beyond. Over 500 school bus technicians from as far away as American Samoa have attended IC Bus University.”

Attendees should plan to arrive in Tulsa, Okla., by noon on Monday, March 14. Attendees will be responsible for transportation to and from Tulsa, their hotel ($89 per night and includes breakfast), an evening meal and the class fee of $300.

IC Bus will furnish daily transportation, including airport pick up that will be provided by the host hotel and return to the airport on Friday of the week by IC Bus. Return flights should be scheduled after 1 pm on Friday, March 18. Lunch will be provided Monday through Friday as well as a guided plant tour, instruction on engines, bus electrical and bus maintenance, evening classes on Navistar Parts, air conditioning, Ricon and Bruan lifts, lunch presentations on paint maintenance and Specialty Manufacturing as well as an additional four hour class on Allison Transmissions for up to 42 hours of total instruction as well as all books and materials.
