Laura Hansen Named Area General Manager of First Student Alaska Locations

CINCINNATI— First Student, the nation’s leader in student transportation, has named Laura Hansen to area general manager of the company’s Alaska locations. Hansen works closely with local management teams and oversees operations for locations, financial results, safety and fleet and maintenance.

Hansen brings tremendous knowledge of the student transportation industry. She was most recently the senior location manager for First Student’s Portland, OR facility. She was responsible for overseeing a fleet of 195 buses serving the Portland School District as well as providing support to several neighboring operating locations.

“I am excited about the opportunity to work with Laura as she takes on this new role,” said Cal Hull, First Student senior vice president. “I have every confidence in her ability to bring our Alaska locations to a new level of performance and success.”

Hansen began her career with First Student in 1996.
