Masonlane’s Sunray Routing Application Adds New Key Features

Phoenix, AZ – May 19, 2015 – Masonlane, LLC has announced today the Sunray – Pupil Logistics and Operations Management cloud-based application has added new key features and functionality which include; Independent Shell (iShell) modularity, developed by Masonlane, and GPS Tracking capabilities with Followmee.

The new additions, to the Sunray application, using the iShell concept, allow for Sunray account holders to setup unlimited independent work areas for current school year, forecasting for the next school year, field trips and activities, and simulation modes each within their own unique locations, within the database.  The iShell and GPS Tracking capabilities, added to the Sunray application, along with Sunray’s sustained cost of $595 annually, puts Masonlane as a one-of-a-kind SaaS company, within the pupil logistics operations management industry.

Masonlane has developed and  programmed into the Sunray application a new technology feature, that is called Independent Shells (iShells), which essentially provides the capabilities to build environments that are completely separate from each other. For example, the current school year containing students, bus routes and stops, and school and district zones etc. are contained in one area, named iShell 1, for instance, while planning for the next year with students, bus routes and stops, and school and district zones etc. are located in another separate area, named iShell 2.  The data between iShell 1 and iShell 2 reside in their own locations, within the database, and are not shared or affected by the other.  Furthermore, each iShell has its own Dashboard view which provides graphs, charts, and statistics, as well as, a very easy way to move from iShell to iShell simply by selecting from a list.  The iShell development allows for the creation of any desired work area, with no restrictions nor additional costs.

“We’re really excited about being able to offer the Independent Shell (iShell) feature to schools and districts, as it allows them to create and work with virtually any type of environment that suites their needs.  With iShells, schools and districts can create the current school year, forecast for next year, work on summer school, setup a simulation area, or build field trips and activities, all separate from one another, while remaining within the Sunray application.  There is no need to purchase extra modules or pay for additional features, our price of $595 annually is the total cost of Sunray and includes everything,” says Craig Mason, CEO of Masonlane, LLC

The Sunray application integrated Followmee’s GPS Tracking application under its Fleet Management section, which allows the ability to track school buses via GPS on Smartphones and displayed on maps, within the application.  In addition, the Followmee App is independent of Sunray and has its own management system, if desired.

“Cloud computing has really opened the door for new innovation and collaboration between SaaS web-based applications, such as Sunray and Followmee.  It’s amazing how fast integration happens today.  The willingness and desire to work together, within the SaaS community, which contributes to better and more affordable applications, is fantastic,” says Craig Mason, CEO of Masonlane, LLC.
