MITO Extends Long-Term Agreement with Blue Bird Corporation

ELKHART, Ind. — MITO Corporation, a leading distributor in premium electronics, renewed its contract with Blue Bird Corporation and will continue to supply this leading school bus manufacturer with its factory-installed radio system.

The three-year contract lengthens the already long relationship MITO has with Blue Bird. For more than 12 years, MITO has been supplying the manufacturer with a custom-spec radio kit, complete with a PA system.

Blue Bird, an 86-year-old company, offers a complete line of Type A, C and D school buses and features a vast global footprint with buses delivered to more than 60 countries. The radio system that MITO provides has become a staple product for nearly 85 percent of the school bus industry.

“MITO is able to provide specific options and technology that our customers require. MITO provides us with products that embody quality, reliability and durability—all key elements which Blue Bird buses are known for,” said Trey Jenkins, VP of purchasing at Blue Bird Corporation.

Dan Maloney, VP of sales and marketing at MITO Corp., said the company is focused on delivering a low-maintenance system for Blue Bird.

“We want to deliver a quality product and pair that with quality support on our end,” Maloney said. “We look forward to this ongoing relationship.”
