LONG ISLAND, N.Y. — Blue Bird Corporation’s (NASDAQ:BLBD) dealer in metropolitan New York, Bird Bus Sales, has opened a new sales and service location to further accommodate customer needs. The new facility is the largest bus-only service and parts location serving customers in the metro New York City and Long Island markets.
“Long Island and New York City customers have avidly requested a closer service location for years,” says Rick Reichenbach, president of Bird Bus Sales. “This state of the art facility answers the call.”
Featuring six service bays, the facility is more than capable of handling the metro school bus market. “This facility is built to accommodate school buses, as well as buses with commercial applications, to better serve local needs. This will allow us to perform service on school buses much faster,” says Reichenbach.
“For nearly 40 years, Rick Reichenbach has been a respected leader in the New York City and Long Island school bus markets,” says Jeff Carpenter, Blue Bird’s VP of North America Bus Sales. “As a Blue Bird dealer, he has continuously improved service and support levels, but now with this new best-in-class facility, he and the Bird Bus team are taking service and support to new heights.”
The new Bird Bus location is located at 155 Terminal Drive, Plainview, NY 11803, and is now open for business.
