CHITTENANGO, N.Y. – New York Bus Sales, LLC., a Blue Bird school bus dealer dedicated to providing safe and dependable student transportation, including full parts and service to the customer, has hired Bob Gilkinson, of Mayville, New York, as an on road service technician.

With Bob as part of the team we will be able to assist our customers faster and more efficiently.”
Gilkinson will be responsible for addressing service issues at customers’ locations throughout eight counties in Western New York. New York Bus Sales has locations in Rochester, Albany and Syracuse. Gilkinson completed the diesel technology diploma program at the University of Northwestern Ohio.
Before joining New York Bus Sales, Gilkinson worked at the former Fire Equipment Sales and Service as a heavy-equipment mechanic for nine years. Prior to that position, he worked in the Cassadaga Valley Central School District as an assistant head mechanic and transportation supervisor for the schools’ buses. Gilkinson is a 19-A certified examiner and is certified as a school bus driver instructor in New York state.
