REG Ultra Clean Diesel to Power Incredible Adventures Fleet

AMES, Iowa — Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:REGI) announced a supply agreement today with Dogpatch Biofuels, to provide REG Ultra Clean Diesel to the bus fleet of Incredible Adventures, a leading adventure travel company.

REG Ultra Clean Diesel is a patent-pending fuel made of a proprietary blend of renewable diesel and biodiesel. It is California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved for year-round use in California under the Alternative Diesel Fuel Regulation. This product can be used to meet California’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) and plays a role in the state’s goal of lowering harmful emissions.

“We are excited to work with Incredible Adventures and Dogpatch Biofuels,” said Gary Haer, REG VP of sales & marketing. “Providing REG Ultra Clean Diesel to fleets will go a long way to improving air quality and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.”

One of REG’s facilities, part of a network of state-of-the-art, commercial-scale biorefinery production facilities.

Incredible Adventures became the first private fleet in the U.S. to convert its entire fleet to nonpetroleum fuel in 2003. The decision was based on the company’s commitment to maintaining the wildlands and national parks of California and the rest of the world.

The company has been using biodiesel blends and will introduce REG Ultra Clean Diesel in its fleet of 13-20 passenger mini-coaches.

Dogpatch Biofuels was San Francisco’s first public retail biodiesel-specific station and now provides Incredible Adventures with its sustainable biofuels. Owners Jolie Ginsburg and Brian Deninger acquired Dogpatch Biofuels, to secure both storage and accessibility of renewable fuels for San Francisco residents, plus other private and public fleets, such as San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.“We are minimizing the environmental impact of our business on the destinations we visit by utilizing REG Ultra Clean Diesel,” said Brian Deninger, president of Incredible Adventures. “Using biofuels is a strong contributing factor to ensuring these magnificent areas continue to thrive for future generations to enjoy.”

“We are excited about new fuels such as REG Ultra Clean diesel which will provide improved compatibility and reliability for our customer’s fleets,” said Jolie Ginsburg CEO, Dogpatch Biofuels.

Dogpatch Biofuels also acts as an official collection site for residential used cooking oil. This allows San Francisco residents to help keep their city clean by contributing to the creation of clean-burning biodiesel.
