Seon Launches ‘Peace of Mind in Real-time’ Fleet Management Solution — vMax® Live Plus

COQUITLAM, B.C. — Track what counts, know more now — industry-preferred mobile surveillance supplier Seon Design Inc. launches the ultimate real-time fleet tracking solution for bus and coach fleets, vMax Live Plus. vMax Live Plus gives fleet operators greater peace of mind with an on-demand, map-based view of the location of all the buses in their fleet. Integrated with the mobile surveillance system, vMax Live Plus ensures passenger safety by monitoring the health status of the camera system. Transportation managers can also download a live image of what’s happening inside the bus using the unique Live Snapshot feature.

“Seon’s innovative vMax Live Plus is a web-based system that combines the benefits of Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) and video with real-time reporting, allowing fleet managers to assess situations, streamline communications, and address operational issues quickly and efficiently,” says Peter Simmons, director of marketing. “vMax Live Plus tracks the precise location and movement of a single bus or entire fleet with detailed mapping software featuring live status updates, incident alerts, and automated system-wide health monitoring (DVR Health Check).”

vMax Live Plus provides critical data on stops, excessive idling and speeding, and advanced fleet performance reports to help identify behaviors that waste fuel — potentially saving fleet operators thousands of dollars a year in fuel costs. DVR Health Check shows that the DVRs, hard drives, and cameras are working at all times, reducing liability by decreasing system downtime. Exclusive to vMax Live Plus, Live Snapshot permits users to view images of the inside of any bus in real-time, so that when the unthinkable happens, fleet operators can see exactly what’s happening on the bus and take immediate action.

“Live Snapshot was developed based on feedback from a number of fleet operators who wanted live access to the video images, in case of emergency, but couldn’t afford to pay for the monthly data plan required for live streaming on every vehicle, “ explains Simmons. “Our system lets fleet operators purchase a number of Live Snapshot credits that they can use on any bus in the fleet — only when they really need it — saving hundreds of dollars a month in operating costs.”

Track what counts with vMax Live Plus — its AVL features make it easy to track the exact location and movement of your fleet using advanced mapping software. Users can create geographic boundaries, or ‘zones of interest’, to zero in on historical fleet data in a particular area, as well as receive odometer information to track mileage and maintenance activity. The information that vMax Live Plus provides can facilitate fleet maintenance and offer accurate route, ridership, and mileage details.
