DANVILLE, Calif., — TransTraks, the premier software product of the school transportation industry, has agreed to develop a new membership program for the California Association of School Transportation Officials (CASTO) Board of Directors. These new enhancements will better serve the association’s thousands of new and active members.
TransTraks was approached by the Board of Directors to come up with a new way to do business for its membership process. TransTraks has agreed to develop a new membership program that will be hosted on the company’s “cloud” service. This will be a safe and proprietary site that will insure privacy for CASTO’s members. With this new partnership, CASTO will be able to process membership applications in a timely, efficient and accurate time frame.
As individual members of CASTO since 1979, the owners of TransTraks started the company with a philosophy of “giving back.” Both Greg and Donna Marvel come from a long history of transportation and school district administration in California.
“Donna and I have been in school transportation for many years. We both love CASTO and school bus yellow and would like to give something back to the industry,” says Greg Marvel.
This new membership program will allow the Board of Directors to mainstream the membership process and get more members to sign up for CASTO.
“Our goal working with CASTO on their membership enhancements is to create and deliver an easy, user friendly online application process for new transportation personnel and vendors to become members,” says Marvel.
