The 2013 edition of the World Market for Mobile Video Surveillance Equipment report named Apollo Video Technology as the global supply leader in for the transit bus market.
IHS Electronics & Media published the report, which biennally ranks companies biannually based upon the annual sales revenue. The report found that Apollo increased its world market share by 2 percent. This year’s recognition comes after Apollo Video was named No. 1 in the Americas in 2011.
Rodell Notbohm, the founder of Apollo Video and the company’s CEO and managing partner, said the award comes is a direct result of designing solutions to assist agencies increase safety and security with an eye toward increasing efficiency to also save time and money.
“We continue to inviest in the integration of software and hardware technoogies, providing transit agencies with capabilities far behond standard video surveillance,” he added. “We are constantly improving our solutions to exceed the expectations of our customers.”
Apollo’s video solutions allow transit officials to remotely view on-board cameras to investigate passenger and employee concerns. The company said its RoadRunner DVR in conjunction with other solutions aim also to increase accessibility, reduce maintenance and operating cost and mitigate risk and liability.
