Blue Bird All American Buses Recall to Fix Parking Brake Valve

Blue Bird said 121 of its All American Type D transit-style school buses will be recalled by early August to correct the park brake valve interlock that my have been incorrectly installed.

The NHTSA recall notes that the feature is optional but that in those buses in which it is installed it could inadvertently activate the parking brake without warning. This could result in “property damage, personal injury or death” in the event of a crash.

Blue Bird was expected to begin the recall on or around Aug. 8.  to repair the brake valve free of charge.
