Stock Transportation, the Canadian division of National Express Corporation, is nearly one month into providing new service for two Catholic school districts in Alberta province.
The company announced that it is now transporting 500 students on 40 school-bus routes for the Edmonton Catholic School District 7 while added one bus run for the Elk Island Catholic Separate Regional School Division 41. Both contracts started Feb. 6.
“We have developed great new partnerships, and our staff has been working extremely hard on these transitions to ensure that everything runs smoothly,” said General Manager Kerri Timbers, who supervises Stock’s facility in Edmonton. “We’re looking forward to safely transporting these students for years to come.”
Stock rehired most of the previous transportation employees and also implemented the company’s comprehensive maintenance program at both districts.
National Express Corporation also operates Durham School Services and Petermann Bus in the U.S. Between both divisions, National Express operates a fleet of 20,000 school buses that servei 450 school districts in 32 states and four provinces.
